REFUGE

Shechem Ministries has been developed to provide a refuge for you, His messenger. When we were notified that you were coming, the prayer chain was started. Brethren are praying for you now. They are praying that you will find refuge here and be resolved to serve Him Who died for us all.

2 Sam. 22:3…The God of my rock; in him will I trust: [he is] my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Ps. 9:9…The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

Ps. 46:1…God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Ps. 57:1… Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities be overpast.

Heb. 6:15-20…NLT: Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.
When people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding.
God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.
So God has given us both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can take new courage, for we can hold on to his promise with confidence.
This confidence is like a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain of heaven into God's inner sanctuary.
Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the line of Melchizedek.

Our true refuge is not this place called Shechem but Jesus our Lord and God. May you find Him and His refuge here as you pray…and may He meet your every need as He has promised.

Heb. 4:14…NIV: For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet was without sin.
